Tips for First Time RVers on How to Live the #VanLife
Kelsey Darragh is an actor, writer, filmmaker, and former star at Buzzfeed Studios and currently, she’s making a documentary on mental health and social justice using an RV as her production vehicle, so I couldn’t think of anyone better to talk tips and tricks on how to RV than her, since we are taking Fork in the Road on the road in an RV in the next episodes. We talk everything from RVing essentials (don’t forget the tool box and camping towels!) to why the #vanlife is an ideal way to travel in the pandemic in this episode. Here top 5 must-brings for your first journey:
Camping towels. You’ll never have enough towels and these dry so quickly, which is essential. I’d also say bring plenty of biodegradable wipes and of course paper towles for cleaning, too.
Collapsable everything. Room comes at a premium in an RV so you’re going to want anything you bring to be able to become compact.
A mini vacuum to keep those floors clean. They get dirty fast, especially when visiting spots for beaches, hiking or National Parks.
Battery banks. You always need power on the road.
Tool Kit (This one I totally agree on!) You’d be surprised what breaks on the road, and you’ll def be glad you have one.
