hey there!

I'm Krista Simmons, an Emmy Award-nominated director and writer telling stories through my digital media company, Fork in the Road Media

I’ve covered tourism and hospitality for nearly 15 years for top tier media outlets including Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, and the Los Angeles Times. Currently I’m the Travel Editor at Sunset, a print and digital publication that’s been celebrating Western lifestyle since since 1898 and is still going strong.

If television is more your thing, you might have seen me as a food expert on Top Chef Masters, Today Show, Knife Fight and Hell's Kitchen. And I hosted the Fork in the Road podcast for a couple seasons, too. I suppose it’s safe to say I’m a bit of a Swiss Army Knife when it comes to media.

My work has been given some pretty cool nods — an Emmy nomination as a director on the PBS series “The Migrant Kitchen” and a Webby Award for my work at Conde Nast Traveler, for instance. I’m also a CNN Docuseries Fellow and a participant in the Sundance Producers Lab.

Needless to say, if you’re into highly visual storytelling and the occasional shiba inu pic, you’ve found your gal. Feel free to follow along for the latest over on Instagram, or drop me line to collaborate.

cheers!
