I remember a few years ago posting a pic of my morning routine of sardines, avo and toast and people jeering in the comments. I'm SO glad the world's finally caught on to the deliciousness of these omega-3 packed sustainable swimmers! Here I've got some oil cured Japanese sardines from Gjusta w/brown rice toast and my fave fruit, THE AVOCADO! Can't wait to get to Japan in a few weeks to eat these suckers on their home turf! πŸŸπŸ‘πŸΌ
Do yourself a favor and drop by the newly opened ICDC for ice cream, coffee and donuts this weekend. Their signature drink is made of this obscenely pretty salt and pepper caramel donut and a shot of Aussie espresso topped with a ridiculously creamy, gelato-esque scoop of house made vanilla. There are not enough exclamation points in the world, folks. Do it! #bakeitforward
This native Angeleno loves tacos so much, I'm pretty sure I suffer from the same taco neck syndrome Shaq did. (Remember those ridiculous Taco Bell commercials back in the day?!?) I cannot get enough! @Guisados is always one of my first stops when returning home from the road. So happy to be home! Also: wtf,  STILL no taco emoji?!?
Super stoked to see my bone broth making a cameo in this month's issue of @WomensHealthMag! I've been making this hearty brodo weekly in my pressure cooker since testing the recipe -- which is quite a bit different than the simple stock my mom taught me to make growing up, trust. It's incredible to sip solo, but I've been using it as a base for soups, stews, and sauces. Check out the recipe video in my profile.

This has genuinely been one of the most challenging, emotionally draining weeks of my life. The only calming part of this roller coaster has been the support of my family, @mkretovics and this amazing macro bowl from M Cafe. Here's to (hopefully) a better one ahead!

Last night I enjoyed the loveliest, mostly plant-based meal at the rad @scratchbarla @thegadareneswine pop-up @coachella. This colorful roasted cauliflower dish with cauli stem "jerkey" was one of my faves, along with the INCREDIBLE coconut custard w/mojito granita and brown sugar crumble. Coachella really has grown up!
Starting out the day with power yoga and green juice with my boo at the Hawaiian Tropic/Nanette Lepore party at one of my fave Palm Springs properties. Time to reset before round 3! πŸŒ΄πŸ‘

Great wine and cocktails are a' flowin, and you'll get one of the most gorge meals with desert palms and the Sahara tent as your backdrop. Feeling SO MUCH CLOSER to human after a fabulous facial @dermalogica and an awesome smoothie pick-me-up from @KreationJuice. My skin was tired with a capital T after all the boats, busses, cabs, and planes, and this was just what I needed. Now time to start logging footage and answering the mountains of emails! πŸ‘Š How do you reset and bring back balance after a trip?
Let's be honest, coming home from incredible international travel can kinda suck. What I do love, though, is getting back in the kitchen and cooking! I started off today clean with this pomegranate blueberry bowl, made with heaps of fresh fruit, kale, oats and sunflower seeds, plus some of my fave Vega powder for good measure. Now off to yoga to set my system straight!
